Acupuncture - Naturopathy - Herbal Solutions Adults
Traditional Chinese medicine uses a unique combination of diagnostic techniques and treatment methods that incorporates acupuncture, botanical formulations and dietary changes to stimulate the healthy functioning of your organs, cells and tissues.  There are several forms of therapy that compliment Traditional Chinese Medicine to unveil the imbalance in your body and enhance your body’s own inherent healing ability.

Traditional Chinese medicine is based on the philosophy of attaining and maintaining balance of energy or Qi, which flows along pathways or channels throughout your body.  These pathways are called meridians. Stimulation of acupuncture points along the meridians helps balance your organs, cells and tissues by allowing energy to flow freely throughout the meridian. This results in balance of energy within your body.

Acupuncture is derived from the Traditional Chinese Medical theory that refers to the insertion of fine, single-use, sterile needles through the skin into underlying tissues at specific points on the surface of the body to balance the energy in the body.  Acupuncture is commonly recognized for its use in pain management but acupuncture can be used for a variety of ailments from anxiety, to digestive concerns, headaches, PMS and infertility. Acupuncture can also be used by individuals who do not have any symptoms but want to prevent disease and optimize their health.

Sometimes moxa (a compressed herb in the form of a stick) is heated and positioned over an acupuncture point to add warmth and energy to a deficient system to help relieve symptoms.

This technique uses glass cups on various parts of the body, for example the chest or back, to relieve chest congestion, muscle tightness or tension.

Acupressure Massage
Some individuals are uncomfortable with needles. In this case, acupressure massage uses the application of pressure to specific acupuncture points to balance the body and stimulate healing.

Chinese Herbal Medicines
Traditional Chinese Medicine uses herbal formulas, alone or in conjunction with acupuncture, to help eliminate imbalances in your body and restore your body back to health.

Auricular Acupuncture or Acupressure
Specific points in the ears are stimulated with pressure or very small needles, on their own to address your health concerns or as an adjuvant to a Smoking Cessation protocol to control cravings, relive insomnia and stress associated with smoking.
